Hi, I’m Danielle Wright, CEO of Right Choice Construction, and I’m taking a moment to shout out the importance of downtime. I recently talked to my team about work-life balance, noting that during a busy winter and spring, we were all challenged to the hilt. Now, summer has arrived, and we are thoughtfully working out schedules, vacation time, and much-needed personal time.
Hard work pays off!
For me and my family, staycations are often better than vacations. We love our lakehouse, which is a little slice of paradise. My beloved family doesn’t need to travel abroad or take long road trips when home is the fun and festive environment we love the most.
How appropriate to focus on staycations when this month’s observances are National Barbecue Day, National Do Something Good for Your Neighbor Day and National Mimosa Day! We are carving out time to belatedly celebrate these observances — at our lakehouse, surrounded by family and friends.
I hope you’re entering the summer season with the same determination to relax, unwind, rejuvenate, and kick back — at least temporarily! Until next time, cheers to sunshine and family bonding!
