Hi, I’m Danielle Wright, CEO of Right Choice Construction, and I’m taking a moment to shout out National Volunteer Week from April 21-27, 2024. What a great time to recognize the efforts of big hearts and helping hands in our industry and beyond. In the United States, National Volunteer Week is organized by Points of Light, which shines a light on people and causes that inspire us to serve.
If you follow my blog, you know that my Right Choice Construction team is big on volunteering in Houston. Our push comes before the holidays when the weather turns cold and the homeless need extra supplies of food, hygiene kits, clothing, blankets, and more.
I’ve shared our outreach below to recognize the efforts of my awesome team, encourage others to follow suit, and bring awareness to hunger and homelessness issues:
Unique Ways to Serve During National Volunteer Week
Check out this article by InterFaith Ministries to pitch in and help wherever you are located in Houston. You can also click here for individual, school, company, church, and neighborhood brainstorming ideas. Volunteer.gov is another great platform with opportunities to serve virtually (online) and in person.
