Hi, I’m Danielle Wright, CEO of Right Choice Construction, and I’m taking a moment to share our wonderful excursion to the Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo on Sunday, February 18th, with our team.
We enjoyed our table at the Rodeo Uncorked!® Roundup & Best Bites Competition, and a good time was had by all! It included lots of walking, lots of food and wine sampling, and, best of all, meet and greets with some of the most talented chefs, pitmasters, and sommeliers in our region!
Following are photos of our team enjoying the evening and some tips for a fun and comfortable visit to this popular annual festivity, truly one of the major and wildly popular community events at the Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo.

Tips for the Very Best Rodeo Uncorked!® Best Bites Visit
- Wear comfortable shoes. If you are wearing boots (I did!), make sure they aren’t brand new.
- Don’t wear a sweater…it gets HOT in the crowds.
- Don’t eat after breakfast!
- Get there EARLY, because the mass of people coming in to park is voluminous, and you don’t want to be late or you’ll miss out on a LOT.
- When you are all full of tasty bites at the end, it’s time to sit, laugh, and drink the wine!
- Have a plan to hit new and exciting vendors and offerings—not just the well-known names.
- Don’t overthink who you want to give your People’s Choice tokens to. If you hold onto tokens, thinking you’ll taste-test everything and return to your favorites… you won’t! You’ll go home with a pocket full of tokens, and your favorite restaurant may lose. So use the tokens in real time!
